In the original Nirvana biography, Kurt listed some of the bands influences as divorces, drugs, and sound effects records.
Kurt once said "Nirvana sounds like Black Sabbath, playing the Knack, Black Flag, Led Zeppelin, and the Stooges, with a pinch of Bay City Rollers."
Krist
Krist Novoselic was born on May 16, 1965 in Compton, California.
His parents, Krist and Maria Novoselic, were immigrants from Croatia.
The name "Novoselic" means "new settler" in Croatian.
Krist has a sister named Diana.
Krist had his jaw wired shut to correct a dental problem, but he would still get drunk at parties, so he would carry wire cutters with him in case he puked and got choked on it.
Dave
Dave Grohl was born on January 14, 1969 in Warren, Ohio.
His parents are James and Virginia Grohl, who divorced when Dave was six.
Dave started playing guitar when he was twelve.
In one of Dave's bands, Freak Baby, they kicked out the bass player and the guitarist switched to bass, and Dave switched to drums, hence how he got his start in drums!
